Brown University assistant coach Mike Levine will leave the Bears’ program to take a job as a scout with the NHL’s Las Vegas expansion franchise, as first reported by Mark Divver of the Providence Journal.
Levine had been an assistant on Brendan Whittet’s staff for the past three seasons after coming over from the prep ranks. He had served as a head coach at both New Hampton School and Kimball Union.
A 2005 alum of Utica College, where he played for the Pioneers, Levine will reportedly work on procuring NCAA and CHL free agents. The Sandwich, Mass. native is known for having an excellent eye for talent.
