Former Boston University defenseman Brandon Fortunato will transfer to Quinnipiac University, according to ESPN's John Buccigross.
The Albertson, NY native will have two years of eligibility remaining after sitting out the 2016-17 season. In 79 games in a Terriers' uniform, he registered six goals and 34 assists for 40 points. He spent time quarterbacking the second power play unit and was a threat to push the pace in transition.
The U.S. NTDP alum is a 1996, meaning he had a year of junior hockey eligibility remaining, but he will reportedly sit out the season in Hamden, Conn.
