The East Regional in Albany, NY lacks some of the marquee names that other sites can boast. There is no North Dakota, no Boston College nor Denver, but there are some good story lines.
Three of the four participants in the 2013 Frozen Four are in the East Regional, including Whitney Avenue rivals Quinnipiac and Yale. UMass Lowell joins the Bobcats and Bulldogs from that memorable weekend in Pittsburgh.
A clash between Yale and Quinnipiac in the regional final with a trip to the Frozen Four on the line would be a game for the ages.
The fourth seed, RIT, is making its second consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Head coach Wayne Wilson will get to coach in the same regional his son Stu, a senior at Yale, is participating in as a player.
