Brown University freshman hockey player and Pittsburgh Penguins prospect Sam Lafferty is also a standout golfer. The Deerfield alum from Hollidaysburg, Pa. is the No. 3 player for the Bears men's golf team as it enters this weekend's Ivy League Men's Golf Championship.

Lafferty, selected 113th overall in the fourth round of the 2014 NHL Draft, had four goals and eight assists for Brendan Whittet's club this past winter.

Brown finished 8-20-3 this season, but the future is bright with Lafferty and fellow rookie NHL Draft picks Max Willman and Tyler Bird. Whittet and his staff, Mike Levine and Mark White, have began compiling quite a pipeline of talented commits for the next several seasons.
