ECAC Hockey Semifinals Set, Times Announced

Lake Placid, NY -- Quinnipiac and Harvard punched their tickets Sunday night as the final two participants at the ECAC Hockey semifinals at the 1980 Arena, joining St. Lawrence and Colgate, who had earned their spots a night earlier.

Jimmy Vesey scored 16:46 into the second overtime to lift Harvard past rival Yale at Ingalls Rink in New Haven. Steve Michalek made 40 saves to earn his 19th victory of the season.

Quinnipiac staved off an upset bid by defending champion Union College in game three of their series at High Point Solutions Arena in Hamden. Senior Soren Jonzzon scored his sixth and seventh goals of the season to lead the Bobcats past the Dutchmen.

The Crimson and Bobcats will meet in the first semifinal Friday at 4:07 ET. St. Lawrence and Colgate square off in the second semifinal at 7:37 ET. The two winners will play for the championship on Saturday at 7:07 ET. All three games will be broadcast on Fox College Sports.
