Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute junior goaltender Jason Kasdorf has had his rights traded from the Winnipeg Jets to the Buffalo Sabres in the Evander Kane and Zach Bogosian trade that went down this morning.
Kane and Bogosian have been sent to Buffalo in return for Tyler Myers, Drew Stafford, Brendan Lemieux, Joel Armia and a first round pick. Kasdorf, the 2012-13 ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Year, is being sent to the Sabres in the haul. Kasdorf missed almost the entire 2013-14 season due to a lower body injury.
This season Kasdorf is 9-14-0 with a 2.94 goals against average and a .900 save percentage. The Winnipeg, Manitoba native ranks 10th in goals against and 12th in save percentage for Seth Appert's Engineers.
