Doherty Leaves Brown to Return to Juniors

Tim Doherty's college hockey career at Brown University is over before it started, according to multiple sources. The Portsmouth, RI native and former St. George's star has left school and will return to play junior hockey with the Boston Junior Bruins in the USPHL Premier Division.

The '95 left wing had 28 goals and 34 assists in 46 games last season with the Junior Bruins. He is expected to be dressed when the team plays in the Beantown Fall Classic at the New England Sports Center in Marlboro this weekend. He has been removed from the hockey roster on the official school athletic website.
