WORCESTER, MASS. -- As initially reported by Brian Sullivan of USCHO, Holy Cross head coach Paul Pearl has left his alma mater to become the associate head coach of the Harvard hockey program.

Pearl, a veteran of 20 years behind the HC bench, confirmed the move to Jen Toland of the Worcester Telegram & Gazette on Friday morning.

Holy Cross, a member of the Atlantic Hockey Association, will look to replace Pearl with a national search. The Crusaders hockey program joins Princeton as only current open vacancy in Division I.

Lake Superior State and Colorado College were the only other programs with openings this offseason, but both have since been filled by Damon Whitten and Mike Haviland, respectively.
