HANOVER, NH -- Dartmouth College has announced that former New Hampshire and Denver assistant coach David Lassonde will replace veteran Dave Peters on Bob Gaudet's staff.
Lassonde, a Rochester, NH native, played collegiately at Providence College before embarking on his coaching career as a goaltending coach at UNH.
He spent three years each at Wisconsin and Miami before returning to Dick Umile's staff in 1997, where he would stay until 2011. The former college goaltender spent the last three seasons at Denver, the first two on George Gwozdecky's staff and this past year on Jim Montgomery's.
Peters left the Big Green to take over as the head coach of the Selects Academy U16 Team in Connecticut. Peters, who came to Dartmouth from Providence in 1999, had over 20 years experience as a NCAA assistant.
