BRIDGEPORT, CONN. -- Union College is 20 minutes away from its second Frozen Four in three years. The No. 1 ranked Dutchmen lead Providence College, 2-0, after two periods in the NCAA Hockey Tournament East Regional Final.

Max Novak scored a second period goal to extend Union's lead to two goals. Mat Bodie scored on an absolute rocket from a Daniel Carr feed in the first period. Shayne Gostisbehere made five blocks in the first period, including three in the crease that kept Providence off the board.

In his third season Rick Bennett has guided the Dutchmen to three straight regional finals and is a period away from his second Frozen Four appearance in three seasons.
