Cornell-UMass Game Canceled Due to Compressor Failure

The game will not be rescheduled.

Lynah Rink on the campus of Cornell suffered a compressor failure earlier today, which has caused the cancellation of tonight's schedule game between Cornell and UMass-Amherst.

The game, originally scheduled to start at 7pm EST tonight, was pushed back to 7:30 early in the afternoon. The scheduled was pushed back another 30 minutes to 8:00pm later in the afternoon as the crew at Lynah tried to fix the ice.

The two teams took the ice for pre-game warm-ups, but it was decided that condition of the ice in one of the goal creases, among other areas, was unplayable, so the two teams decided to cancel the game.

UMass Hockey announced via Twitter that the game will not be rescheduled.
