The New England Prep School Ice Hockey Association Tournaments start on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 with quarterfinal action.
All 12 quarterfinal games across the three divisions are slated for Wednesday, March 1, 2017. The semifinals are scheduled for Saturday, March 4, 2017 with the finals a day later on Sunday, March 5, 2017. The three championship games are all at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, NH. The quarterfinals and semifinals are held on the campus site of the higher seed, unless the travel distance is too far.
The Stuart/Corkery Elite 8 Tournament is the top eight teams in prep hockey, regardless of school size. The other two divisions are the Martin/Earl Large School Tournament and the Piatelli/Simmons Small School Tournament.
The 2016 Stuart/Corkery Elite 8 Tournament was won by Gunnery. This year, the favorite would appear to be No. 1 seed Lawrence Academy or No. 3 Kimball Union, coached by former Maine bench boss Tim Whitehead.
