The Springfield Rifles' East/West Invitational is on tap this weekend, September 17-18, at the University of Massachusetts' two rinks and the Olympia in West Springfield, Mass.
The tournament has 18U, 16U, 15U and 14U divisions. In addition to the Rifles, some of the marquee midget programs to join the invitational are Mid-Fairfield, Neponset Valley River Rats and Yale.
The 18U Division will take place at the Mullins Center and the practice rink, both on the campus of the University of Massachusetts. The 16U, 15U and 14U games will be at the Olympia in West Springfield, the former home of American International.
