New head coach Eric Lang has hit the ground running, landing three new recruits for the American International hockey program.
Fargo Force center Hugo Reinhardt, Bismarck Bobcats defenseman Patrik Demel and Coulee Region Chill defenseman Niko Luca will be joining the Yellow Jackets in September.
Reinhardt, a '96 from Sweden, just completed his first season in North America, playing for Carey Eades' team in the USHL. The left-shot center had six goals and seven assists in 48 games played for the Force. Prior to playing in Fargo, the Kungsbacka, Sweden native had played for Frolunda.
Demel is another European import. From Ostuva, Czech Republic, the '95 left defenseman had two goals and 30 assists in 56 games in the North American Hockey League (NAHL).
Luca, a native of Bartlett, Ill., played for Coulee Region in the NAHL the past two seasons. Another high scoring defenseman, Luca had seven goals and 31 assists in 58 regular season games this season. A left shot, he's a '95 who should be able to step in and contribute right away.
