University of Michigan has received a commitment from Bloomington Thunder captain Jake Slaker, a former St. Lawrence recruit who decommitted when Greg Carvel left for UMass.
Slaker, a left-shot center from San Diego, Calif., is a '96 who played in the United States Hockey League (USHL) the past two seasons. He recorded 21 goals and 21 assists in 57 regular season games this winter. He added five goals and seven assists in 10 playoff games for the Thunder.
Slaker will arrive in Ann Arbor to begin playing this fall for Red Berenson's Wolverines.
