American International continues its quest to reenergize its program with the addition of two more international players for the 2016-17 recruiting class.

Coulee Region Chill forward Dominik Florian and Lone Star Brahmas forward Martin Mellberg both committed to play for the Yellow Jackets over the weekend.

Florian is a '95 from Vlasim, Czech Republic who just finished his third season in the North American Hockey League (NAHL). He had 29 goals and 22 assists in 51 games played this winter. One scout who follows the NAHL closely described Florian, a right shot center, as a "big guy who can skate with a high compete level." He's the type of older freshman that can make an immediate impact in Atlantic Hockey.

Mellberg, a '95 from Stockholm, Sweden, had 16 goals and 26 assists in 60 games for the Brahmas in his first season in North America. A six-foot-one right wing, he has a pro frame and racked up 57 penalty minutes this year.

Under new head coach Eric Lang, the Yellow Jackets are bringing in a large freshman class in hopes of immediately turning around the program.
