Winchendon forward Matt Fawcett verbally committed to play college hockey at Quinnipiac University on Tuesday. The Lincoln, RI native just completed his sophomore season and is scheduled to arrive in Hamden to play for the Bobcats for the 2018-19 or 2019-20 season.
Proud to announce my commitment to Quinnipiac University thanks to everyone who has helped along the way! #GoBobcats

Fawcett is an undersized forward that possesses good speed and an ability to make plays. He's crafty and slippery. He's a pass-first player with good vision. He's not afraid to go hard into the boards, forecheck with a purpose and battle with bigger players.
Prior to Winchendon, Fawcett played for the Providence Capitals and Moses Brown School. He was selected in the 12th round of the recently completed USHL Phase II Draft by the Sioux City Musketeers.
