Matt Christians

Maple Grove(MN) High School 2000-born forward Trevor Janicke announced via Twitter that he has verbally committed to play hockey at Notre Dame:

Janicke still needs to fill out physically--expected from a player that played bantams last year--but is a very fast skater and tireless worker. He had a strong performance at this summer's USA Hockey Select 15 Camp, finishing tied for tied for 14th in scoring with four goals and two assists in five games at the camp which featured the best American players in his age group.

He also has a family connection to Notre Dame. His father, Curtis, played for the Irish from 1989-1993, leading the Irish in scoring during his junior season with 50 points in 31 games.
