The '99 is in his first season with the US National Team Development Program, skating for Don Granato's U-17 squad. He's a versatile player with good skating ability. In the USHL Pittsburgh Showcase two weekends ago, he stood out for his high compete level in all three zones. He drew some attention of the coaches and scouts in attendance with back-to-back blocks on the same shift.
Gadowsky, in his fourth season guiding the Nittany Lions, was at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex for the NTDP's two games against Youngstown and Muskegon.
In the 2014 USA Hockey Select 15 Festival, he had three goals and three assists. He was ranked as the 15th best forward at the camp by this observer.
15. Evan Barratt (#10 Red) 6-0/175 Comcast 99 - He's a player who grows on you the more you see him play. He's fast and he cuts well. He cycles well and the puck seems to just find him. He had a ton of chances over the week.
Barratt projects to arrive for the 2017-18 season after completing his two years with the NTDP. He's eligible for the 2017 NHL Draft.
