Christian Thomas Commits to UVM

Matt Dewkett

The University of Vermont hockey program has picked up a commitment from a young, elite goal scorer out of the Junior Cyclones organization. Christian Thomas, a right-shot '99 forward out of Bloomingdale, NY, is small, but has very good feet and is a talented scorer.

Playing mostly for Frank O'Connor's 16U Full Season team, Thomas had 18 goals and 18 assists in 20 games played in the EJEPL. In all 61 games with the Cyclones organization this season, Thomas racked up 53 goals and 40 assists for 93 points. He was named one of EJEPL All-Star Game MVPs at Brown's Meehan Auditorium on Jan. 25, 2015. Thomas, who will likely arrive in Burlington for the 2018-19 season, played up with the 18U team for a few games this year.
