Victory Honda U18 1999-born forward Matt Miller has committed to Michigan State.
Miller is listed as a 6'3" 185 lbs. from Fort Wayne, Indiana. As a prospect, he is a bit of a late-bloomer, but has come on strong over the past two seasons. Last season was his first season of AAA hockey when he played for Victory Honda's U15 team, making the three-hour trip from Fort Wayne to Victory Honda's home in Canton on a regular basis. This year, he made the jump up to the U18 level with Victory Honda where he is the only '99-birthdate on the team. He has scored 6-6-12 in 20 league games, and his team currently leads their division with a 15-4-1 record.
Miller was selected by the Dubuque Fighting Saints of the USHL in the ninth round of last spring's USHL Phase I Futures Draft. He will likely play at least a year or two with the Fighting Saints before enrolling at Michigan State.
