Kohen Olischefski Decommits from Wisconsin, Commits to Denver

Matt Christians

Chilliwack(BCHL) '98 forward Kohen Olischefski has decommitted from Wisconsin and switched his commitment to the University of Denver.

Olischefski committed to the Badgers in February of this year while playing at Yale Hockey Academy. This season, with the Chiefs of the BCHL, he has scored 5-13-18 in 27 games. In the most recent NHL Central Scouting draft rankings, Olischefski was rated as a 'C' prospect.

Listed at 6'1.25" 165 lbs., Olischefski is known as a speedy skater with high upside once his body matures and he fills out a little bit. Switching his commitment to Denver will allow him to play a little closer to his home in British Columbia. He is expected to play one more year of junior hockey following this season before enrolling at Denver in 2017-2018.
