USA Hockey announced its 17-man roster for the 2016 Youth Olympics to be held in Norway from Feb. 12-21. The 2000-birthyear is a star-studded group for the Americans, especially up front.
Highlighting the roster is Boston University commit Jake Wise, widely considered the top 2000-born forward in the U.S. Fellow Terrier recruit and Salisbury forward Jack DeBoer. Harvard commit Oliver Wahlstrom and Boston College commit T.J. Walsh are two more New Englanders on the roster.
The defense should be solid, as well, with Michigan commit Mattias Samuelsson and Boston College recruit Adam Samuelsson. Christian Krygier, a terrific skater and son of Muskegon Lumberjacks coach Todd Krygier, is one of the team's more underrated prospect.
