The University of North Dakota landed a verbal commitment from Lincoln Stars forward Ludvig Hoff on Monday, the player announced via Twitter.

The '96 from Oslo, Norway is in his second full season in the USHL. A left shot, he can play both center and wing. He had 16 goals and 16 assists in his rookie season, but has been on fire to start the 2015-16 season. Hoff leads the USHL in scoring with six goals and nine assists in 12 games played.

Hoff took official visits to Providence and Northeastern and was reportedly also being courted by Wisconsin and Minnesota before choosing to play college hockey for UND. He is projected to arrive in Grand Forks for the 2016-17 season.
