Colorado College recruit Mason Bergh was named the USHL CCM Forward of the Week after posting a six-point night in the Chicago Steel's season opening 8-2 win over the Green Bay Gamblers. A '95 from Eden Prairie, Minn., Bergh became the first player since Minnesota forward Taylor Cammarata pulled the same feat on October 28, 2012 while playing with the Waterloo Black Hawks. Berg found the back of the net once and dished out five assists. The '95, who had 11 goals and 14 assists last season, is slated to begin play for the Tigers next season.
Des Moines Buccaneers defenseman Alec Rauhauser was honored as the CCM Defenseman of the Week. The Bismarck, ND native had a goal and two assists and was a plus-three in the team's 4-0 win over the Fargo Force. A '95 in his second USHL season, Rauhauser is a big-bodied blue liner who was a key cog in the penalty killing unit's perfect seven-for-seven night.
Ryland Pashovitz was named the USHL CCM Goaltender of the Week following his 23-save shutout performance in Des Moines' 4-0 win over Fargo. The Saskatoon, Saskatchewan native is in his first season in the USHL after a stellar season with the Humboldt Broncos in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL).
