New Holy Cross head coach David Berard and his staff are wasting very little time in hitting the recruiting trail hard. The Crusaders have secured the commitment of big Westminster senior defenseman Will Brophy.
Brophy isn't an offensive defenseman, but at 6-4 he plays a very strong game in his own zone. He's a responsible blue liner who will lead a very deep Westminster defense this winter that also includes UVM commit Joe O'Connor and uncommitted recruit Kevin O'Leary.
Berard and assistants Juliano Pagliero and Brock Sheahan were hard at work during the recently completed Beantown Summer Classic where they would have seen Brophy in action. Pagliero also spent plenty of time in Amherst, NY earlier this summer at the USA Hockey Select Camps.
