Shattuck-St. Mary's' '99-born forward Logan Hutsko announced via Twitter on Saturday that he has verbally committed to Penn State:
Very honored to announce my commitment to Penn State. Thank you to all my family friends and coaches for your support. #WeAre #HockeyValley
— Logan Hutsko (@lhutsko4) August 23, 2014
Hutsko originally hails from North Caldwell, New Jersey, which is just under 4 hours away from State College. Hutsko was the third-leading scorer on a very loaded Shattuck-St. Marys bantam team last season, scoring 109 points in 65 games. He's a smaller forward with excellent scoring skills.
Hutsko ranked 18th among forwards at this summer's Select 15 Festival. Here is what SBN College Hockey's Jeff Cox wrote about Hutsko:
18. Logan Hutsko (#14 White) 5-7/145 Shattuck St. Mary's - He benefited from being on the ice with Prattson a lot, but he has nice vision and does a good job of creating space and distributing the puck. He also had a nice, quick release on his shots.
