Less than a week after leading the USA Hockey Select 15 Festival in goal scoring, Springfield Cathedral rising sophomore forward Riley Prattson has committed to playing his college hockey at Providence College.

The Tolland, Conn. native is the sixth member of Brian Foley's Panthers to commit to a Division I college joining Peter Crinella (Holy Cross), John Leonard (UMass), D.J. Petruzzelli (Quinnipiac), Keith Petruzzelli (Quinnipiac) and Dan Petrick (Northeastern).

Prattson is a quick and shifty smaller forward with terrific hands and creativity with the puck. A '99, he has good instincts on the ice and has a high hockey IQ. There is a chance he will grow and become an even hotter commodity as his older brother Zach, a rising-senior at Cathedral, is more physical in stature.

Springfield Cathedral and BC High are the early clear favorites to win the 2015 Massachusetts Super 8, the top high school tournament in New England.
