Kieffer Bellows Commits to Boston University

Matt Christians

Kieffer Bellows, son of ex-NHLer Brian Bellows, announced via Twitter on Thursday evening that he has verbally committed to Boston University:

Bellows is a '98-born player out of Edina High School in Minnesota. Bellows scored 27 points in 25 regular season games for the state champion Hornets this past season. He was selected in the first round, 13th overall by the Sioux Falls Stampede in this year's USHL Futures Draft.

Listed at 5'11" 195 lbs., Bellows is a true power forward that is tremendously strong for a player his age, with the ability to score from anywhere on the ice with his above average shot. Bellows is also a good stickhandler and possess excellent instincts in the offensive zone.
