Salisbury forward Mike O'Leary commits to Cornell

One of the elite '98s in prep school hockey this past season has committed to Cornell University. Salisbury School's Mike O'Leary of Halifax, Nova Scotia pledged his commitment to Mike Schafer and the Big Red over the weekend.

A big leftwing, O'Leary didn't put up big offensive numbers in his first season of prep school hockey, but he was able to learn and hone his skills on Andrew Will's loaded team that won the prep school championship.

Selected in the 14th round of the 2014 USHL Draft by the Dubuque Fighting Saints, O'Leary is the prototypical Cornell player. He is a big-bodied winger who projects as a power forward with the ability to play well in all three zones.

O'Leary, a 2016 or 2017 commit, also plays split-season midget hockey for the Connecticut Wolf Pack.
