Hill-Murray eighth grade defenseman Mikey Anderson announced via Twitter this afternoon that he has verbally committed to Minnesota-Duluth:
I am excited to announce that I have committed to play my college hockey at the University of Minnesota Duluth #bulldogs

Anderson is a '99 born defenseman that played a big role on one of the best blue lines in Minnesota high school hockey this past year. He's among the best in the country for his age group, and his commitment to Minnesota-Duluth seemed almost a given after his older brother Joey committed to the Bulldogs last spring. Anderson's grandfather Tom played hockey at Minnesota-Duluth before the Bulldogs joined Division I in the early '50s.
Anderson is a smooth skater and confident with the puck, while also bringing a very solid physical presence. If the Bulldogs are able to bring in both Anderson brothers in a few years, they should have the core of a very good team.
