After helping lead Lakeville North High School to the state championship final, Panthers defenseman Jack McNeely announced via Twitter on Thursday evening that he has committed to Nebraska-Omaha:

The junior defenseman was a defensive force for Lakeville North all season. He also contributed 3 goals and 19 assists in 25 games for the Panthers. McNeely is listed at 6'1' 165 lbs., and as a late '96 birthdate, won't be eligible for the NHL Draft until 2015. His older brother Matt is a goalie at Minnesota-Duluth.

McNeely's commitment continues an impressive streak of landing high school prospects from the state of Minnesota for Nebraska-Omaha.
