Eagan High School senior defenseman Nick Wolff announced this afternoon via Twitter that he's committed to play college hockey at Minnesota-Duluth:
So happy to announce my commitment to the UMD bulldogs. Thanks to all the people in my life that supported me! Wouldn't be here without you!

Wolff is a 6'4" 187 lbs. '96-born defenseman. The lanky defenseman really started to grow into his massive frame this past year, earning a spot on the US Ivan Hlinka tournament U18 team last summer, and continuing his strong play through the fall Elite League and high school season. Wolff was named a finalist for this year's Minnesota Mr. Hockey award, and has put himself on the radar for this summer's NHL Draft. NHL Central Scouting ranked him 97th among North American skaters in their mid-term draft rankings.
Wolff is primarily a defensive defenseman with a propensity for bone-crushing checks in the neutral zone. His USHL rights are held by the Des Moines Buccaneers.
