Omaha Lancers U16 forward Wade Allison announced via Twitter on Sunday evening that he has verbally committed to play hockey at Western Michigan:
I am proud and very excited to announce that i will be playing my college hockey career at the university of Western Michigan #GoBroncos

Allison is originally a native of Manitoba, and played with the Pembina Valley AAA team alongside another Western Michigan recruit in Colt Conrad, now at Shattuck-St. Mary's.
Allison is a late-'97 birthdate, and has been a standout on the Omaha U16 team, which is one of the top Midget Minor teams in the country. Allison has good size, listed at 6'1" 201 lbs. and plays an aggressive, power forward-style of game. He should make a nice complement to smaller, slick playmaking Conrad when the two are reunited in Kalamazoo.
