Junior Bruins defenseman and former Northeastern recruit Josh Couturier has committed to Boston College. The Newbury, Mass. native is back playing for Pete Masters' organization after a season with the Des Moines Buccaneers in the USHL.
Couturier was a former Northeastern commit who was dropped by the school last season. The '95 is a big, physical defenseman who registered three goals and 10 assists in 39 games played in the USHL last season. He racked up 59 penalty minutes. This season he is playing in the USPHL Premier with the Junior Bruins, coached by former BC Eagle Pete Masters. He was one of the best defensemen in the Pro Division of the Beantown Summer Classic in Marlboro back in August.
