Jacob Tortora, a '99-born forward from upstate New York that is currently playing AAA hockey in Toronto has committed to Boston College.
Tortora appears to be one of the next in a long tradition of small but highly-skilled forwards for Boston College. Sean LaFortune, head scout at TheScout.ca offered up this analysis of Tortora's game:
Tortora, a small but highly skilled winger meshs a gritty, competitive nature with quck feet and impressive puck skills.

Despite only being 5'4, no big size concern for us, he always overcomes it with a fearless nature and slick hands/pace. Nice get for BC.

SBN College Hockey's Jeff Cox ranked Tortora as the 52nd best forward at last summer's USA Hockey Select 15 Festival. Here's his write-up on Tortora:
52. Jacob Tortora (#10 Black) 5-5/139 Don Mills Flyers - He's a speedy, crafty small winger who is willing to go to the net and battle guys a lot bigger than he is. He cuts well on his skates and has a quick release on the snap shot.
Tortora is the first '99-born player to commit to the Eagles, though the Eagles received a commitment from 2000-born forward TJ Walsh earlier this month.
