Sacred Heart University has picked up a power forward out of the prep hockey ranks. Brooks School junior and Bradenton, Fla. native Vito Bavaro announced his commitment on Tuesday to the Pioneers of Atlantic Hockey.
Proud to announce my commitment to Sacred Heart University thank you to everyone who helped me make this dream a reality #RollPios

Bavaro is a big, lumbering forward who had a solid showing at the Beantown Summer Classic in August. A '97 who also plays split season midget for the Neponset Valley River Rats, Bavaro is slated to arrive at Sacred Heart for the fall of 2016 or possibly 2017. He had nine goals and six assists in 30 games played last winter for Dave Ries' team.
