Chicago MIssion U16 '98-born defenseman Alex Green has committed to Cornell.

Green is a smooth-skating two-way defenseman listed at 5'10" 161 lbs. He was selected in the fifth round of the USHL Futures Draft last spring by Green Bay. We mentioned Green as a '98-born player that was trending upwards in his development at this year's NAHL Showcase:

Alex Green-D-Chicago Mission U16-Green was a very good skater last year, and appears to have added a little more muscle this year, making him an even more effective player.

Green becomes the seventh player off of this year's Mission U16 team to make a college commitment, joining Wisconsin commits Joe Abate and Dominic Mersch, Miami commits Joey Keane and Cole Coskey, Ohio State commit Sean Dhooghe, and Notre Dame commit Graham Slaggert.
