Selects Academy Forward Alex Limoges Commits to Cornell

Rich Barnes-USA TODAY Sports

Cornell University head coach Mike Schafer has picked up a commitment from a high scoring forward from Virginia. Selects Academy 18U forward Alex Limoges announced on Twitter his plans to play college hockey for the Big Red.

A six-foot '97 from Winchester, Va., Limoges scored 25 goals and added 26 assists last season for the South Kent, Conn. based program. He's projected to join the Cornell roster for the 2016-17 season.

One observer described Limoges as "very slick with the puck." He went on to say that Limoges has good vision and passing skills and can finish. A very good student, Limoges visited several schools this fall before committing to the Big Red. Dartmouth, Providence, Vermont and Maine were also in the mix for Limoges.
