Elk River High School forward Jake Jaremko announced via Twitter on Wednesday that he has verbally committed to play college hockey at Minnesota State:
Proud and excited to announce that I have committed to play my college hockey at Minnesota St. Mankato! Thank you for the support #Mavs

Jaremko has had an incredible start to this fall's Elite League season. He currently leads the league in scoring with 28 points, with the next highest point total only at 19. The strong Elite League start got him ranked as a 'C' prospect in NHL Central Scouting's preliminary rankings, despite being passed over in last year's NHL Draft. Jaremko's best asset is his skating, highlighted by a very strong first three steps.
Jaremko's USHL rights were recently traded from Sioux City to Chicago, where it's likely that he will play at least a season before joining the Mavericks.
