Warroad high school juniors Kobe Roth and Jared Bethune announced via Twitter this evening that he and teammate Jared Bethune have both verbally committed to play their college hockey for Minnesota-Duluth:
Proud to announce i just committed to the University of Minnesota Duluth with my line mate for life @bethune_21 #Bulldogs

So excited to announce I have committed to the University of Minnesota Duluth with my brother @KobeRoth5 #Bulldogs
— Jared Bethune (@bethune_21) January 4, 2014
The two teammates have been dynamic for the Warriors at the high school level. Through 14 games this season, Bethune leads the Warriors with 53 points, while Roth is only a point behind him with 52.
The two complement each other very well in terms of style of play. Roth is a small, quick playmaker, while Bethune is more of a power forward. Bethune was selected to play for the US Select 17 team last summer, before a citizenship issue caused him to miss the tournament. Their chemistry together should pay dividends down the road for the Bulldogs.
