Waterloo(USHL) forward Blake Winiecki announced yesterday via Twitter that he had verbally committed to play his college hockey at St. Cloud State, joining the ever increasing pipeline of players from the Blackhawks to St. Cloud

Winiecki is a '94 birthdate that played high school hockey at Lakeville North in the southern suburbs of the Twin Cities. After spending most of last season adjusting to the pace of play in the USHL, Winiecki has became a more consistent scorer for the Blackhawks this season. He's currently tied for the team lead with 16 goals to go along with 11 assists for 27 points through 31 games.
Winiecki will be reunited with his high school teammate Charlie Lindgren when he joins the Huskies next season. Mick Hatten of the St. Cloud Times has more on Wniecki's commitment here.
