University of New Hampshire head coach Dick Umile scored a big recruiting victory on Wednesday with the commitment of Marcus Vela. The Burnaby, BC native is a good-sized forward that projects as a legitimate scoring threat in college. In addition to playing for the Langley Rivermen in the BCHL, he was named to the Canada Pacific U17 Select Team. A '97, Vela is slated to arrive in Durham for the fall of 2015 or 2016.
Excited to be Committed to the University Of New Hampshire!! Thanks to everyone who helped me along the way! #wildcat
