Alberni Valley Bulldogs defenseman Jared Wilson has committed to play college hockey for Rensselaer coach Seth Appert. The Calgary, Alberta native, a strong puck carrying blueliner, currently leads BCHL defenseman in scoring.
The '94 left shooting defenseman will arrive at RPI in the fall of 2014. According to USHR, Appert watched Wilson's Alberni Valley team take on Cowichan Valley on Wednesday night before making the scholarship offer.
Following a successful midget career with the Calgary Royals, Wilson joined Alberni Valley for his rookie season in the BCHL for the 2012-13 campaign.
