Brown Lands Barnstable High Alum and Williston Forward Max Willman

Max Willman dominated high school hockey in Massachusetts, but it took breakout performances at showcase events to get the attention of college recruiters.

Former Barnstable (MA) standout Max Willman committed to Brown University on Friday night. Willman, who is prepping at Williston this year, will arrive at the Ivy League school in the fall of 2014.

Willman dominated Massachusetts high school hockey the past few seasons, but just began to impress college recruiters this summer. The 1995-born forward had tremendous outings at the Tier I Labor Day Face-off and Beantown Classic. Brown coach Brendan Whittet is stockpiling a solid group of local products to lace on the skates at Meehan Auditorium.
