According to multiple reports, UMass-Amherst received a commitment from Oshwegen, Ontario defenseman Brandon Montour. The offensive-minded blue liner will lace up the skates for John Micheletto starting with the 2014-15 season.
Montour played the past three seasons in the GOJHL, a junior league based in Ontario. He tallied 22 goals and 60 assists in 57 total games including the playoffs for the Caledonia Corvairs last year.
Montour will play for head coach P.K. O'Handley with the Waterloo Blackhawks in the USHL this season before matriculating to UMass.
