Kevin Conley Commits to Denver

The Pioneers add a talented young goal-scorer.

Wausau West(WI) High School forward Kevin Conley announced yesterday via his protected Twitter account that he has verbally committed to play his college hockey for the University of Denver.

Conley split time between Team Wisconsin's U16 team and Wausau West HS, where his play earned him an invitation to USA Hockey's NTDP Tryout Camp. Conley was also selected in the second round, 24th overall in the USHL's Phase I futures draft. Conley is regarded as a solid two-way forward with enormous potential as a goal-scorer with a very hard, accurate shot.

Andy Johnson of Bucky's 5th Quarter reported yesterday that Conley chose the Pioneers over Bemidji State and Wisconsin.

Conley joins Colorado Thunderbirds forward Troy Terry as Denver's second commit from the 1997 age group.
