NTDP Defenseman Charlie McAvoy Commits to Boston University

Charlie McAvoy, an offensive defenseman that played last season with the New Jersey Rockets program, and will join the NTDP U17 team next season, announced today via Twitter that he has verbally committed to play for Boston University:

McAvoy is a '97 birthdate, meaning he will likely join the Terriers in 2015, after playing two seasons in Ann Arbor. McAvoy is the first '97 to commit to the Terriers, joining Bobo Carpenter in the school's 2015 class.
