Muskegon(USHL) forward Cooper Marody announced on Sunday evening that he has verbally committed to the University of Michigan:
Today a life long dream came true. Committed to The University of Michigan. Proud to be a Michigan Man. #GoBlue pic.twitter.com/YQyLaMk7Xi

It's worth pointing out that he's not kidding about the "lifelong dream," as his next tweet was a picture of him as an infant wearing a Michigan hat and Michigan hockey bib.
Marody is a late '96 birthdate in his first USHL season and off to a strong start in the league. He's scored 5 goals and 11 assists for 16 points in 23 games. That's tied for second in team scoring on the Lumberjacks, and the second highest point total among 2015 NHL Draft eligibles in the USHL, behind only fellow Michigan recruit Kyle Connor. Prior to playing in the USHL, Marody was a standout in the Michigan high school ranks, scoring 42 points in 26 games with Orchard Lake St. Mary's as a sophomore last year.
Marody is listed at 6'0" 165 lbs. by Muskegon, so clearly he has some strength to add, but he is a blazingly fast skater, and has shown some impressive playmaking ability to this point in his USHL career.
