Providence College has added a goaltender for the second semester, according to several reports. Reading, Mass. native Brendan Leahy has committed to the Friars. He will likely just be an insurance policy behind star sophomore Jon Gillies and freshman Nick Ellis. He has been playing for the P.A.L. Junior Islanders in the newly formed USPHL Premier Division this fall. Leahy previously played for the Boston Junior Bruins in the EJHL and Empire Junior Hockey League. Once he is on the roster he will become the second goaltender in Hockey East to hail from Reading, Mass.
